Begin with the customer and channel

Separate stock conditions
New production, over-production and factory seconds describe different commercial conditions. Confirm availability, condition, relabelling rights, MOQ, pack size and actual packed weight with the supplier. Factory seconds require specific defect disclosure and buyer acceptance.
Plan the receiving record
Track ordered, shipped, received, accepted, rejected, returned and available units by SKU, size, colour, lot and location. Agree shortage and claim windows, capture buyer acceptance and reconcile the payment schedule.
