Four sampling stages before apparel production
Development, fit, size-set and pre-production sample approvals for clothing manufacturing orders.
Development and fit
A development sample tests the concept and construction. A fit sample checks the intended silhouette and measurement points. Review physical evidence and document changes rather than approving from a concept image alone.
Size set and pre-production
The size set checks grading across the agreed range. The pre-production sample aligns actual materials, shade, decoration, construction and packaging with the approved technical pack. Buyer approval belongs to the physical sample and numbered version.
Record change impacts
If a sample review changes material, measurements or decoration, document cost and date effects. Revise the technical pack and obtain the required approvals before cutting. Keep approval evidence attached to the project.
